Update on Wells Fargo Bank Robbery (with suspect photos)

October 28, 2016

Mary Esther, FL – Surveillance cameras captured video of the suspect in Thursday’s robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank, 101 Mary Esther Boulevard.

Investigators with the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office say the tall, skinny black male came into the bank around 1 p.m., passed the teller a threatening note, and then left with cash.

Witnesses saw the man drive off in a sedan.

He was wearing a blue t-shirt, jeans, sunglasses, and a Michael Jordan black hat with a red brim.

The teller says his long dreadlocks appeared to be fake.

OCSO Investigators are working with their counterparts at other agencies to determine if the same individual could be involved in recent bank robberies in Northwest Florida, including the September 19th hold-up of the Hancock Bank in Destin.

Anyone with information on the bank robbery is asked to contact the OCSO at 850-651-7400 or Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 1-850-863-TIPS, emeraldcoastcrimestoppers.com, or by placing a mobile tip using the P3 Tips Mobile applications.
