Two Injured in Early Sunday Morning Shooting

Wright, FL – Two people were injured in a shooting early Sunday morning at Oakdale Village Mobile Home Park off Gibson Road. Their wounds are not considered life-threatening.

10-30-16-ocso-shooting-2Around 5:30 a.m. the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office received at least three calls of people reporting hearing multiple shots fired in the area. Deputies responded and immediately set up a perimeter as they searched for any victims and/or suspects. The Fort Walton Beach Police Department assisted in working to track down anyone on the run crossing into the city’s jurisdiction.

Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and seeing several individuals running from a trailer at 720 Gibson Road and a car leaving the scene at a high rate of speed.

Deputies located 46-year old Conrad Johnson coming out his trailer, suffering from gunshot wounds to the right arm and buttocks. Multiple shell casings were located outside his residence.

10-30-16-ocso-shooting-1The Fort Walton Beach Police Department later made contact with a second gunshot victim on Chestnut Avenue. 26-year old Conrad Windsor of Gibson Road had been shot in the chest and arm.

A car with multiple bullet holes was located by deputies on Viola Drive that is believed connected to the incident.

EMS transported the two men, both with non-life-threatening injuries, to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.

At this time the motive for the shooting is unclear and the investigation remains active.
