Pensacola Man Sentenced to Life in Prison W/O Early Release for Sexually Battering 7 Year Old

Bill Eddins, State Attorney for the 1st Judicial Circuit, announced that 33 year old Roger Earl Bender, Jr. of 262 N Guillemard St. in Pensacola, FL, was convicted by an Escambia County Jury of his peers.

Bender was on trial for Sexual Battery, Lewd/Lascivious Molestation and Lewd/Lascivious Exhibition, Battery of a Child by Projecting Certain Fluids, and Giving Obscene Material to a Minor.

Following the verdict, Circuit Judge Darlene Dickey sentenced Roger Bender to Life in State Prison without the possibility of early release. He was also designated as a Sexual Predator.

Details of case:

Bender sexually abused a 7 year old girl and showed her pornography on multiple occasions from 2013-2015.

A video was located on Bender’s cell phone depicting sexual acts with the victim.

During an investigative interview, the victim said that Bender had engaged in sexual activity with her, as well as showed her videos of adult pornography.

The Pensacola Police Department investigated the case.
