Panama City Woman Shoots House Guests Because They Were Too Loud

The Bay County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division investigators responded to a local hospital at approximately 2:00 am where a gunshot victim was receiving treatment.

The victim stated she had gone to a residence at 4205 Grady Street at about 1:00 am with a friend. While there, a woman who lived at the residence got a 22 caliber hand gun and, while standing in the doorway of the residence, began to fire rounds at the victim and a male friend.

The victim stated she felt herself get hit in the legs and ran away from the home and got into a vehicle.

Contact was made with the suspect, identified as Alana Annette Savell, age 32, of 4205 Grady Street. Savell stated that the victim and her friend had come to her home to hang out and began drinking and getting too loud. Savell stated she did not want them in her house and began to shoot at their feet.

The suspect’s boyfriend stated to investigators that he has told his girlfriend that once someone is told to leave their property three times, she is to go get the gun and shoot it at the ground. If that does not work, she is to shoot people in the leg.

Savell’s boyfriend was also struck with a round in the leg during the incident.

Alana Annette Savell was arrested and charged with Aggravated Battery with a Firearm. She was taken to the Bay County Jail.
