Okaloosa County Sheriff Office Takes Down Craigslist Meth Distribution Scheme

Three men have been arrested after the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Section launched a probe into the suspected distribution of methamphetamine. The investigation was targeted online to a classified advertisement on Craigslist. The ad portrayed “ice cubes” that have “crystalized already”.

craigslist-methAfter getting information October 26th about the scheme, undercover OCSO investigators contacted the author of the Craigslist ad, Eddie Blalock, and arranged a drug transaction.

On October 27th, undercover deputies met with Blalock, Jaymie Greek, and Robert Marks at a predetermined location in Destin. The trio were detained and investigators found approximately twelve grams of methamphetamine along with a loaded Taurus .40 caliber handgun and digital scales.

48-year old Eddie Blalock, no known address, is charged with possession of amphetamine with intent to distribute, use of a two way communications device to facilitate a felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

35-year old Robert Marks of DeFuniak Springs is charged with possession of amphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of drug equipment, and using a two way communications device to facilitate a felony.

27-year old Jaymie Lee Greek of Mary Esther is charged with carrying a concealed firearm, possession of a firearm while in commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Investigators say Greek was present for protection during the drug transaction.
