Motorcyclist Victim of Fatal Wreck in Santa Rosa Beach

The Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two vehicle wreck on Saturday afternoon around 3:45 PM in Santa Rosa Beach that resulted in the death of a Metairie, LA man.

Segei Kalmatcui of Santa Rosa beach, Fl was operating a red 2008 Suzuki Forenza 4-door and was stopped at the stop sign in the Walmart Supercenter parking lot at the intersection of West Hewett Rd.

John Brimer Jr. was traveling South bound on West Hewett Rd approaching the the Walmart Supercenter intersection on a red 2004 Buell Lightning Motorcycle.

According to the FHP news release, Segei proceeded into the intersection directly in front of Brimer. Brimer was unable to avoid the collision and struck the left side of Segei’s vehicle.

Brimer was transported to Emeral Coast Sacred Heart Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Segei was not injured.

The accident report did state that Brimer was wearing a helmet, alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the accident and charges are pending.
