Miramar, FL – A Miramar Beach man is in critical condition after his motorcycle rear ended a car and was ejected.
Mark Wright (47) from Miramar Beach, FL was operating a 2014 Suzuki GSX-R Motorcycle at a high rate of speed traveling eastbound on US 98 in the area of Sea Scape Dr. Kalib karns (33) of Morton, WA was operating a 2012 BMW SUV eastbound in front of Wright traveling at normal speed.
According the the Florida Highway Patrol news release, Wright failed to slow as he was approaching the rear of Karn’s vehicle at a high rate of speed and collided with the rear end. Wright was ejected from his motorcycle and landed in the center median of US 98.
Wright was flown by Life Flight Helicopter to Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, FL in critical condition. Both Karns and his passenger, Amber Farris (31) of Madison, AL, only received minor injuries in the collision.
Wright was cited for careless driving. Wright was not wearing a helmet and alcohol results are pending.
Both Karns and Farris were wearing seatbelts.
