Motorcyclist in Critical Condition after being thrown from bike

Santa Rosa Beach, FL – A motorcyclist is in critical condition after the front tire of the motorcycle he was riding popped up in the air and he was thrown from his bike.

At approximately 7pm Saturday night, 50 year old Robert Willard Pulley of Kingwood Harris, TX was westbound on US Highway 98 between East and West Hewitt Road on a 2016 Yamaha motorcycle. According the Florida Highway Patrol report, the front tire of Pulley’s motorcycle came up in the air and the motorcycle flipped over, ejecting him from the bike.

Due to injuries sustained in the accident, Pulley was transported to Sacred Heart Emerald Coast Hospital and later flown by helicopter to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the accident. Pulley was not wearing a helmet and his bike sustained an estimated $7,000.00 in damage.

Pulley was cited for Careless Driving.
