August 23, 1960 ~ October 22, 2016 (age 56)
Jeffrey Lawrence Buess passed away on October 22, 2016 at age 56 after a brief illness. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on August 23, 1960, and he was raised in Pittsburgh, PA. until he joined the Air Force on September 21, 1979 at age 19. He served his country for 21 years receiving many decorations, medals, badges and ribbons. Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal with two devices, Air Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal with one device( Panama and Saudi Arabia ) to name a few. He was retired with Honors as a Master Sergeant.
After his Air Force career he continued to serve his country working at Hurlburt Field for the Boeing Company as a Field Service Representative deploying where ever needed. He was employed with Boeing from 2000 till October 22, 2016.
Jeff was a homebody, and he enjoyed puttering around in his basement enjoying his woodworking. He loved football, and he was an avid Steelers fan getting very excited whether they were winning or loosing. He recently became a Grandfather also known as Papa, and it gave him great joy to spend time with his granddaughter, Daisy. His second child is soon to be born. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his parents Paul Lawrence Buess and Patricia Ann Buess. Grandparents: Delos (Bud) Helms and Esther Helms. Lawrence Buess and Lillie Buess(Mason). Survived by his wife Veronica Buess, Daughter: Cheryl Pisiewski, and Son-in-law Fred Pisiewski. Son: Paul William Buess. Granddaughter: Daisy Ann Pisiewski. Sister Lynne Zavetsky, Brother Tim Buess, Brother-in-law David Zavetsky, Sister-in-law Beth Ann Finlay, and several Aunts, Uncles, nieces and nephews.
On Friday, October 28, 2016 at Whitehurst Funeral Home located on 436 W James Lee Blvd, Crestview, FL. 32536 there will be a viewing from 6-8 pm. On Saturday, October 29, 2019 at 2 pm will be the funeral service at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home. Flowers or donation to American Cancer Society are being accepted. Guests will be recieved at the home after the service for food and fellowship at 101 Oakcrest Drive, Crestview, FL. 32539
