Destin Bank Robber Flees On Foot Empty Handed

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a bank robbery that took place around 10:30 AM this morning at the Hancock Bank located at 14075 Emerald Coast Parkway in Destin.

4Investigators say a black male, approximately 5’6” tall, with a thin build and dreadlocks came into the bank and jumped over the teller counter. He demanded money from the teller and attempted to gain access to the teller drawer but left the bank on foot empty handed. No weapon was seen.

Deputies located the suspect’s FSU hat a short distance from the bank but he may have also been wearing a second hat with fake dreadlocks attached.

A K9 attempted to track the suspect but was unable to locate him.
