In the early morning hours of August 9, 2015 both Reeves & Stocker were in the parking lot of the Green Frog night club on Okaloosa Island. After a brief argument Reeves pulled out a firearm, approached Stocker and fired twice into Stocker’s abdomen. Reeves then backed up, fired several more times into the air, laughed and fled the scene.

Stocker was rushed to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center but ultimately died of his injuries that morning. Several witnesses identified Reeves, who fled the scene, as the shooter.

In September of this year, Reeves was arrested on unrelated misdemeanor charges in Buffalo New York under a different name. He was set to be released but a tip to Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers revealed that his true identity was 24-year old Christopher Reeves, wanted by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of first degree murder.

Reeves was extradited back to Okaloosa County last month for prosecution.

Assistant State Attorney Angela Mason will be prosecuting the case.
