Crestview Public Safety Come Together to Help The Citizens They Serve & Protect

November 17, 2018

Crestview, FL – Today, Crestview police officers and firefighters came together to assist with cleaning a citizen’s yard on Alabama Street in Crestview. The yard was extremely overgrown with bushes and weeds, leading to the need for some tender loving care.

It all began when our first responders responded to an emergency at the home several weeks ago and noticed that the homeowner needed assistance maintaining the home. With the desire to help all citizens anyway possible, our Crestview first responders stepped up and volunteered their time off to assist.

The volunteers provided their own lawn care equipment and fuel to clean the yard. We are proud of our local first responders for their devoted service to our community. Keep up the great work!

We would like to acknowledge the volunteers who assisted by listing their names below:

Senior Captain Corey Winkler (FD Admin)
Senior Captain Mathew Cunningham (FD B-Shift)
Captain Tony Mosley (FD A-Shift)
Lieutenant Dennis Folkerts (FD A-Shift)

Officer Wanda Hulion (PD)
Officer Sam Kimmons (PD)

Several other volunteers from other organizations also assisted and we are very grateful for their assistance as well!
