Eglin AFB, FL – A single vehicle roll-over on Highway 85 just north of SR 123 claimed the life of a 19 year-old Crestview man Monday afternoon.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) news release, 19 year old Corey Saylor was the sole occupant of a red 2006 Nissan Sentra as it traveled south bound on State Road 85 in the inside lane.
As the vehicle approached the intersection of State Road 123, the Nissan Sentra entered the grass median for unknown reasons. When Saylor attempted to steer back into the inside lane, he over corrected and his vehicle started rolling over several times.
During the roll over, Saylor was ejected from the vehicle.
Saylor was transported to the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.
The report noted Saylor was not wearing a seat belt and at this time it is unknown if alcohol is a factor in the accident.
The accident is under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol Traffic Homicide Unit.
