Stolen Guitar From Residential Burglary Found at Local Pawn Shop in Crestview

Crestview, FL – A 28-year-old Navarre man has been charged in connection with a Crestview Residential Burglary.

The Crestview Police Department responded to an address on Panama Avenue on February 12 in reference to a burglary. The resident stated someone had entered into their home between February 7th and February 12th without permission.

The owners were in the middle of moving and when last at the residence had secured all doors and when they had returned on the 12th found the rear door unsecured. The resident further reported the gate leading to the back yard had been damaged.

The report listed a Schecter Bass Guitar stolen as well as approximately $100.00 in jewelry.

On February 15th, an investigator was following up on the case, discovered Ryan Lee Cayton had pawned the stolen guitar at a local pawn shop on February 12th.

Cayton was charged with Dealing in Stolen Property and Providing False Information to a Pawn Broker.

A warrant was served on Cayton on March 8th at the Okaloosa County Jail where he has been incarcerated since February 28th for drug charges.
