Tallahassee, FL – Cody Daniel Davis, 23, of Tallahassee, was arraigned Friday in the U.S. District Court in Tallahassee after a federal grand jury returned an indictment charging him with receipt, possession, and access with intent to view child pornography. The indictment was announced by Christopher P. Canova, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.
The indictment alleges that, between May 2016 and June 2017, Davis received and possessed child pornography. The trial is scheduled for February 12, 2018, at 8:15 a.m. For the receipt charge, the minimum penalty is 5 years, and the maximum penalty is 20 years in prison. For the possession charge, the maximum penalty is 20 years in prison.
The case is being investigated by the Leon County Sheriff’s Office, the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Christopher J. Thielemann.
