Crestview PD Seeks Public’s Assistance in Recent Shootings

Crestview, FL – The Crestview Police Department recently responded to two separate shooting over the weekend whereas two residences were struck.

On Saturday, September 07, 2019, at 5:00 p.m., the Crestview Police Department responded to an incident regarding an unknown person shooting a firearm in the area of W Edney Avenue and Lincoln Street. When officers arrived on scene, there were several casings found in the roadway. A resident in the area advised that their window had been struck by a round.

A second incident occurred just after 2:00 a.m. on the following morning, Sunday, September 08, 2019, near the intersection of N Spring Street and W Beech Avenue. A resident near that intersection advised that their home had been struck by a single round.

The Crestview Police Department has increased the patrol presence in the area. Major Andrew Schneider also advised in a press release they are following up on leads and Investigators will continue to work with other Law Enforcement agencies to bringing those responsible to justice.
